Bishop, diocesan director address criminal justice reform at national conference

WASHINGTON — San Diego Bishop Robert McElroy and Robert Ehnow served as the opening speakers at the Catholic Criminal Justice Reform Network’s Inaugural Conference at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., on April 28.

Inspired by Catholic social teaching, the conference brought together Catholic attorneys, judges, public officials and formerly incarcerated individuals, including three from the San Diego area, to seek solutions to reform the criminal justice system.
