SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Catholic Church observes National Vocation Awareness Week from Nov. 3 to 9. The annual celebration promotes vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life.

For Men
The Diocese of San Diego is holding an “Explorer Day” for men interested in learning more about the priesthood and how to discern God’s call.
The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, at St. Francis Center for Priestly Formation, located on the campus of the University of San Diego.

For Women
Women, ages 18 to 35, who feel that God might be calling them to consecrated life are invited to share their experiences and walk with other women in discernment.
Weekly meetings are held at 6:30 p.m., Mondays, at Mission San Diego de Alcalá.
