SAN DIEGO — The faithful in the Diocese of San Diego can donate to help the victims of the fires in the Los Angeles area that killed more than two dozen people and destroyed thousands of homes and other structures in January. The fire consumed a Catholic church in Pacific Palisades and temporarily closed dozens of Catholic schools across the region.
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles implemented a program to provide immediate direct cash assistance to those who are in great need through their parish aid networks.
Meanwhile, many parishes in the Diocese of San Diego held a special collection in January to help the victims of the fires.
The archdiocese launched this site for donations to help the fire victims: Lacatholics.org/California-fires.
