Parishes Across Region to Offer Novena for Life Jan. 10-18

SAN DIEGO— As a spiritual preparation for the San Diego Walk for Life, the Catholic community will offer a Multicultural Novena for Life, Jan. 10 to 18, at parishes across the diocese. The novena is to pray for the protection of human life. Each day’s intention is accompanied by a short reflection and suggested actions to help build a culture of life. The last day of the novena is held at the Walk for Life.

The faithful have two ways to participate, in person or via the Zoom platform. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, Jan. 10 7:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 135 Fourth St., Calexico. The novena will be in English and Spanish.

Saturday, Jan. 11, 8:30 a.m., at St. Mary Parish, 1170 Broadway, Escondido. English and Spanish.

Sunday, Jan. 12,  9 a.m., at Mission San Luis Rey Parish, 4070 Mission Avenue, Oceanside. Youth are especially invited. English, Spanish and Samoan.

Monday, Jan.  13, 9 a.m., at Good Shepherd Parish,  8200 Gold Coast Drive, San Diego. English, Spanish and Tagalog.

Tuesday, Jan. 14, 8 a.m., St, Pius X Parish, 1120 Cuyamaca Ave., Chula Vista. English and Spanish.

Wednesday, Jan. 15, 9 a.m., at St. Didacus Parish, 4772 Felton Street, San Diego. English.

Thursday, Jan. 16, 6:30 p.m., at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 7710 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa. English.

Friday, Jan. 17, 8 a.m., at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 1668 State St., San Diego. English.

Saturday, Jan. 18, 7:45 a.m., Waterfront Park, 1600 Pacific Highway, the first event of the San Diego Walk for Life. The novena will be in several languages.

All novena dates are available on the Zoom platform.
